Fragility as a resource. This is the theme to be addressed in the implementation of a complex project born from a very specific need: the impassability of a road connecting villages in the Parma Apennines, blocked by landslides caused by the fragile hydrogeology of this area.

Is it possible to transform this into an opportunity for rebirth and valorization of an area with surprising and unexpected natural, cultural, and artistic value? Furthermore, what new strength can architecture bring to this collection of small mountain communities, increasingly isolated from the hustle and bustle of life on the plains?

The necessary restoration of the road system provides the basis for the creation of new functions for the residents of neighboring villages and for tourists, generating the coexistence of diverse functions capable of narrating the territory and its fragility, enhancing it, and embracing it.
